Stress Management Checklist

Health

Stress can be overwhelming, but taking control of it is possible. Start by taking a few deep breaths and relaxing your body. Make a list of the things that are causing you stress and identify which of those you can control and which you cannot. Create a plan to address the things you can control and take a break from the things that are causing you stress. Exercise for at least 30 minutes, eat a healthy meal, and get enough sleep. Spend time with friends and family and take time to do something you enjoy. Practice mindfulness and meditation, and talk to a therapist or counselor if needed. Make time for yourself and do something that relaxes you, and avoid unhealthy coping mechanisms such as drugs or alcohol. With these steps, you can start to manage your stress.
