Evening Routine: Get Ready for Bed Comfortably


At the end of the day, it's time to get ready for bed. Start by changing into comfortable sleepwear and brushing your teeth. Wash your face and apply moisturizer, then take any necessary medications. Set out clothes for the next day and put away any items that need to be put away. Turn off all electronics, dim the lights, and read a book or magazine. Stretch or do yoga to relax your body, then write in a journal and drink a glass of water. Finally, set an alarm for the next day and get into bed to relax and drift off to sleep.
